Things I want to see in Injustice II

We recently just got a glimpse of the new Injustice II trailer and it looks good especially with the high-tech armor which definitely looks like a new feature that will be used in the game. Now we can talk about the new features but I want to take the time to write down the things I want to see in Injustice II.
Smaller Spacing- One of the biggest issue with the first Injustice was the amount of space the game had. The space between characters were huge when players start to move away from their opponent. Situations like these turned Injustice into a zoning game. Characters such as Superman and Green Lantern have a huge advantage over characters like Catwoman or Nightwing. It’s pretty much a guaranteed win. This definitely made EVO Injustice extremely boring to watch especially when it was the Grand Finals when it was Superman vs Green Lantern. It was nothing but a zoning match. The crowd was even booing and I can’t disagree with them. Now I understand when you're at a tournament you are going to do the best strategy to win but this is EVO we want to see a great fight not a snooze fest. Hopefully Netherrealm will do something about the spacing and make it similar to Mortal Kombat X possibility.
2. Characters that you don’t expect- Now of course we are going to see classic DC characters such as Batman, Superman, Lex and others but it would be cool to see other characters that we might not expect to see. The DC universe is huge and there could be some cool characters that fans might not even thought existed. A character like the Question. I believe that character like him can fit the story. He has the knowledge of knowing possible events of the past present and future. Question is also a great detective that can give Batman a run for his money lol.
Another character I believe fans wouldn’t expect would be Vixen. She was the ability to mimic any animal on the planet. Vixen would definitely be an interesting character to use and wonder what kind of style she’ll use since she can mimic any animal.
It’s actually nice to see Supergirl in the game following her new show. I also thought it was great to see Gorilla Zodd who I thought should’ve been in the previous game. Now I definitely didn’t expect to see red lantern Atrocitus in this game which is a good thing for me. I’m definitely looking forward to this upcoming roster.
3. Young heroes- There are young heroes emerging in the DC universe. The animated movie Justice League vs. Teen Titans came out not to long ago and it be great to see characters like StarFire, Beast Boy and Blue Beetle in the game. We also saw these characters on the canceled show Young Justice which was definitely probably the best show on Cartoon Network at the time. Another character that I believe would want to see is Static. Static was definitely a fan favorite after his show Static Shock on Kids WB. With the story continuing from the last Injustice it would be great to see the new generation of heroes emerging.
4. New Story- Now when I say new story I’m saying that there should be a story that we haven’t seen before. For example the First Injustice Superman kills The Joker and after that he becomes the leader of his world and made people freedom. Now we’ve something like that before on an episode of the Justice League where there was a different world where a Justice League called as the Justice Lords Superman kills President Lex Luthor and the Justice Lords ruled the world in fear. We need to see a different type of story in Injustice II. I don’t believe it should even be part of a comic book story either because it’s not new. Now granted the story continues from the last game while some of Superman followers wish to free him from his imprisonment and continue his domination but while the heroes fight each other a greater evil will arise which is probably Brainiac. Brainiac is a huge villain in the DC universe next to Darkseid.
5. Music- The last Injustice had music but it wasn’t anything memorable. Not only that the music didn’t seem that loud. At times I didn’t even acknowledge the music while fighting. It’s always important to have good music while fighting. It definitely hypes the player.
6. Less Batman characters- I feel as though there were too many Batman characters from the first Injustice. Batman, The Joker and Harley Quinn were good but others like Catwoman who i’m actually a fan of and liked playing as her I kind of wasn’t expecting her. Bane was another character I definitely didn’t expect. Feel as though there could’ve been another heavy hitter instead of Bane. Now NightWing is debatable for some. I thought it was okay to have him in the game. I wouldn’t mind seeing him in the next Injustice game. Now Batgirl was a DLC character and I’m like oh man another character from Batman. Now granted I wasn’t really excited for her but her playstyle I loved. She was definitely a character that fight against the zoners. In the end I just feel as though there should be less Batman characters in Injustice II.
7. Functional Online- One of the biggest issues with the first Injustice game was online. While it wasn’t a problem finding an opponent the connection while fighting your opponent was very difficult. It almost seemed unplayable. This was one of the reasons why I stopped playing Injustice. I’m actually pretty confident that Netherrealm will make a functional online mode for Injustice 2. With the recent online patch they did for Mortal Kombat X don’t see why they wouldn’t have a functional online at the start.
8. No Mortal Kombat Guest Characters- My last thing I want in Injustice 2 is please no Mortal Kombat Guest characters. Scorpion in the last Injustice I just asked why? I mean we’ve already seen him in so many Mortal Kombat games why be in Injustice. I understand he’s an iconic character in Netherrealm Studios I just wasn’t excited also due to the fact you know Scorpions playstyle. Now granted is not the same exact play style from Mortal Kombat 9 but it was still similar. Scorpion also kind of broke the game with his teleport from side to side. It was frustrating fighting Scorpion especially with the lag…
These are just a couple of things I want in Injustice 2. I know everything I want won’t be in the game but it’s something I like to see. One thing from this list I know will definitely make it is the functional online. With Mortal Kombat X recent online patch I don’t see why Netherrealm would go backwards. It really wouldn’t make any sense. I’m looking forward to see what Netherrealm will do with Injustice 2. Let me know what you guys think in the comments below.
